The West Line Village name came from the W Line, the light rail line that runs from Union Station to Golden. Homebuyers today want easy access to downtown Denver and easy access to outdoor amenities. With that in mind, every design decision we’ve made is geared towards making Lakewood townhomes attainable and affordable for current buyers. We’ve got the ability to really customize your home.
As an avid cyclist like many other Coloradans, the bike riding opportunities are one of my favorite things about West Line Village. If you choose to commute by bike, you can walk out your front door and be downtown in 7-8 minutes flat – and it’s all downhill! If you like to road bike like me, you can hop on Dry Gulch rail, head out to Lookout Mountain, and get some quick laps in. And if you like to mountain bike, you can easily ride the train out to Chimney Gulch or Mount Falcon. The convenience and accessibility, especially for cyclists, is really amazing!
A good example of our thoughtful streetscape design in this project are the combined pedestrian ways, or “woonerfs” as they’re called in the Netherlands. We’ve taken what would typically just be an alley access, and we’ve used a combination of paving, landscaping materials, fencing, and planters to create a truly wonderful shared space.
