Small Business Spotlight – Lakewood Colorado
As businesses are slowly starting to open, there are still a lot of questions on what we can do, where we can go, and what’s open in Lakewood, Colorado.
To help support Lakewood’s small business community, West Line Village curated a short list of businesses that are open or expected to open soon. Lakewood is full of amazing and diverse restaurants and retail establishments, and if you don’t see your favorites here – that doesn’t mean they’re not open. What’s Open in Lakewood, Colorado?
WestFax Brewing
WestFax Brewing sits near the corner of Pierce St. and Colfax, and is currently brewing some of the tastiest craft beers you’ll find anywhere in the state.
WestFax is known for its unique flavor profiles and seasonal beers. Just in time for summer, WestFax released Cilantro Roma Ale, Tomato Basil Gose, Sandy Sunglasses Hazy IPA, and Mystery Fruit Wheat. As of May 23, WestFax is joining Colorado’s 125 breweries with the release of their version of Colorado Strong Pale Ale.
Beer lovers can stay safer at home with WestFax’s online ordering, pick-up, delivery, and build-your-own options. WestFax superfans can even save 10% on the purchase of any case. Follow them on Instagram and Facebook for up to date information.
Next Gallery
Next Gallery and Pasternack’s Art Hub are currently showcasing several shows and events. Explore exhibitions by artists Charlie Walter and Joy Redstone, support local artists at the Core Members’ Show, and see print works on display. Social distancing will be enforced, and the galleries are limiting the number of guests. Scheduling an appointment is encouraged, and you can visit Facebook for details.

Chain Reaction Records
For Lakewood residents craving live music, Chain Reaction Records is the next best thing. Chain Reaction specializes in punk and metal but features a wide variety of other types of music as well. Like most area businesses, employees will be wearing masks and gloves, and customers are encouraged to adhere to social distancing recommendations.
Chain Reaction Records is located at 8799 West Colfax. Store hours are Thursday – Saturday, 11 am – 7 pm, and Sunday from 12 – 5 pm, but are subject to change. Find the most up to date information on their Facebook page.
Edgewater Public Market
Alright, this one isn’t technically in Lakewood, but we love it so much we’re awarding it honorary Lakewood citizenship status.
Edgewater Public Market is one of the areas best open markets with dozen of food, beverage, and retail options. The market is in the process of slowly reopening and offers takeout from 11 am – 8 pm Wednesday – Sunday. If cooking dinner (AGAIN) is starting to get old, Edgewater Public Market is the place to go. With cuisine options ranging from empanadas to crepes, to Ethiopian, there’s something for everyone.
Edgewater Public Market has also been hosting outdoor tent sales on occasion, follow them on Facebook so you don’t miss a thing.
Metro Denver Farmers’ Market – Lakewood
Metro Denver Farmers’ Markets have been slowly opening throughout the Front Range since the beginning of May. The Lakewood location is excited to launch for summer on June 13. Dozens of local vendors are expected to participate, so you should have no trouble finding fresh flowers, local meats, sweet treats, beverages, and more.
Metro Denver Farmers’ Market – Lakewood is located at Mile Hi Church, and is scheduled to be open every Saturday from 10 am – 2 pm through the end of September. Visit Facebook for more details.
